Chemical Specialties Ltd is a New Zealand-based manufacturer of specialty chemical products serving the automotive, building and industrial markets, with a strong heritage in local manufacturing and product innovation.

The TURBO brand was established in 1981, originally offering a range of automotive fillers and coatings developed for professional use. Building on this foundation, BUILDERS BOG® by TURBO was later introduced, creating a new market sector for permanent building repair fillers and becoming a trusted solution for both trade professionals and DIY projects.

In the early 1980s, Autochem Ltd was incorporated in New Zealand, with the NEWTECH and Autochem brands emerging as market leaders within the panelbeating profession. Following the acquisition of Autochem Ltd by Chemical Specialties Ltd in the early 1990s, manufacturing was consolidated at the company’s Auckland facility. Today, NEWTECH products are widely used by professionals and are also popular for home repair projects.
